For my Sapiosexuals and those quietly getting bored with overly psychologized BDSM frameworks.

This weekend we will explore the connection between ritual, animism, and sadomasochism; not as pathway toward more Person-centric and existential psychodrama, but as a gateway into our transpersonal, folk-animist, and mythic capacity. Competencies that are rooted in relational, autoerotic, and ecological context.
This class also works to de-center the assumption and compulsion that erotic or spiritual development follows a linear arc of awakening.
In doing this, we break free of the colonial fixation on teleology and progress and we move outside clinical models of sexuality that frame sex as an abstracted interpersonal act. We will also loosen our grip on needing to justify our turn-on by framing it as empowering or liberating.
I know, I know… the absurdity!
What I am courting is a more feral, discontinuous erotic sense-making that does not seek narrative closure or Absolute Truth, but holds erotic experience as a site of on-going inquiry.

These classes are not therapy, nor are they intended to be. If your experience happens to feel therapeutic, I celebrate that..yet the purpose of these spaces lies elsewhere. Our focus is on trance states, mythopoetic currents, animism, rites of passage, and the cultivation of transpersonal capacity. This is not trauma processing, family constellation work, or any form of gestalt practice. Rather, this is a living laboratory devoted to the experimental exploration of the erotic mysteries.
